"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
In a world of ‘I love you because...’ God’s kind of love says 'I love you without a cause.'
And this right here is what the world needs to know. This is what the world needs to hear. That there is a love like this. A love that isn't found anywhere but in Jesus Christ. A love that isn’t earned. A love that is already available and poured out to the world, ready to be received.
Some are still waiting to attain a certain level of perfection to feel deserving of God’s love.
Some have given up entirely because they deem themselves unloveable and unwanted.
Meanwhile, some are unaware that such love that Jesus offers is available to them.
This is why we can’t keep quiet about what we know. We can’t keep such good news to ourselves. We need to bring others on this ride. We need to tell more people about God’s kind of love. This love is like a balm to a wounded soul. This love sets free. This love saves. This Love heals. This love redeems. This love makes alive. This love gives second chances. This love welcomes all. This love is free!
John 3:16 says God so loved the WORLD. The WORLD! Not a specific set of righteous and worthy people who meet His standards.
Whether you’re saved or unsaved, Gods love is still poured out to you. You say prove it? And God says I already did!
And indeed, He did so in John 3:16 too. He loved the world so much that He sent His only begotten son to die for it. So, not only is John 3:16 a profession of love, but it is also a demonstration of that great love. He said it, and He proved it before we asked Him to. This love is secure. There is no going back on this kind of love. The sacrifice has already been made. The atonement completed. If you accept Jesus, you receive this love, and you are forever sealed in HIM because He is love after all.
So wherever you are, no matter who you are and what you have done or failed to do, I want you to know this, God loves you so much! You are loved, just as you are. So, come as you are. This love does not discriminate.
If you’re already basking in this love, tell it to others!
Tell others of a love that found you right where you are. Being a recipient of Gods love isn’t a VVIP elite room that is meant for only a handful. There is room for everyone. This love can, and has already made provision for everyone, so, bring others in with you!
This new year, make one of your resolutions to be more like the woman at the well.
Imagine how many lives got touched that day? Just because of a simple, "Come, see a man, which told me all things that I ever did: is not this the Christ?" John 4:28-29.
Herein lies the good news: God loved the world, He sent His son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. Jesus came to earth, He died and He rose again. His death has redeemed us. If you believe this and accept Jesus into your life, you become a child of God.
I invite you to come and taste God's love today.
I implore you to tell someone today that Jesus loves them. You can start by copying this link and sharing it, there is a heart ready to receive this good news.
